Joe and Ellie Curtis, proprietors of C Street's Mark Twain Bookstore inspect Mark Twain A to Z, which they consult daily. Their store offers one of the largest assortments of Mark Twain materials--including books in and out of print--under one roof anywhere. It also has a large number of books, papers, and ephemeral materials relating to Nevada history, the opening of the West, and local mining. A virtual museum of historical relics line the store's walls. The store is in one of the few remaining Virginia City structures built in 1862. (Visit the Curtises' store at or at )
